The artist of “Así es la vida” turned 82 years old.
– She had a wonderful and drastic sense of humor and was very caring, says Jan Göransson, press director of the Swedish Film Institute, to Aftonbladet.

The Gävle artist, actor and icon of success has lived in France since 1969.
Jan Göransson, press manager for the Swedish Film Institute, was friends with Anita Lindblom.
– I have known Anita for 16 years. In connection with the Cannes Film Festival, I have visited her at her home in Théoule-sur-Mer every year. She had a wonderful, drastic sense of humor and was very loving. At the same time, she was very determined and stubborn. For example, she didn’t want her life and Bosse Högberg’s to be feature films, she tells Aftonbladet.

Stayed in france
It was in 1966-1970 when she married the boxer. Bosse Högberg, which, however, 2005.
The turbulent marriage attracted a lot of attention. They fought, they were persecuted by Interpol for tax crimes and they hid in France.
Anita Lindblom then stayed in France and settled there, but returned to Sweden in the 70s and appeared in films such as “A Love Story” and “Rännstensungar” and performed several successful pub shows. She retired from the limelight a few years later.

– She was very proud of her career and very happy for the clips that ended up on YouTube. For example from German and French television. Among the last appearances she made as an artist was at the Trocadero gay club in Malmö, where she performed with drag show artists in the late 1970s, before any other Swedish artist, says Jan Göransson.

Anita Lindblom was married to boxer Bosse Högberg from 1966 to 1970.
“He was kidnapped by show business”
He says that she never seemed sad about ending her degree relatively early.
– She used to say “Show business kidnapped me.” When I told you last year that Siw Malmkvist and Ann-Louise Hanson she was on tour she responded very surprised but also amused: “Wow, they’re still working.”
During one of his last phone calls, he told her that it was an anniversary screening of Roy anderssons “A Love Story” at the Berlin Film Festival in February this year.
– It was at that festival where the film had its world premiere. Anita received much praise for her portrayal of the fragile aunt of female lead Ann-Sofie Kylin.
Siw Malmkvist: “It moved fantastically”
For Expressen, artist Siw Malmkvist, 83, says she remembers Anita Lindblom with admiration.
– It could have been any size. At the beginning of Anita’s career, I remember thinking she was beautiful and moving fantastically on stage. She was probably a little jealous.
