Two days ago, the former prime minister of Italy, the founder of Forza Italia, Silvio Berlusconi, was transferred to the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan after testing positive for covid-19.

The controversial statement of the chief physician

The media mogul had a mild fever and an X-ray examination at the hospital showed that he had mild inflammation in both lungs.

On Saturday, the hospital’s chief physician, Alberto Zangrillo, held a press conference in which he described Berlusconi’s condition as “stable.”

“It instills a cautious but reasonable optimism,” the doctor said, according to Reuters.

Zangrillo had been in windy weather previously when he announced in May that the coronavirus had lost its potency and gotten milder.

Berlusconi underwent heart surgery and survived cancer

At the same time, he has received a patient with aggravating health problems.

Berlusconi underwent heart surgery in 2016 and has survived prostate cancer.

After Berlusconi’s disease became known, the stake in his family business Mediaset rose 11.7 percent on Friday, Reuters reports.

According to market analysts, the positive rise is speculation that the company could win new owners if Berlusconi’s situation worsens.
