That’s why things are going better for Sweden

In France, the number of red counties has increased, areas where the spread of infection is increasing. Also in Spain, the health authority is warning of a new increase in cases.

What they both have in common is that they had a severe recession in the country during the crown spring.

– When it comes to Europe, we have a more serious situation, especially in the Mediterranean, Spain, France and other countries have a strong spread of the infection. It seems a little quieter here in the north, says Johan Carlson.

“Talk to your colleagues”

In Sweden, which analyzes 136,000 per week, the number of cases continues to decline. Fewer die and fewer enter intensive care, 13 people.

Johan Carlson does not want to get into “right or wrong” how countries have dealt with the pandemic. But he notes that when it has often been about so-called closures internationally, the focus in Sweden has been for people to understand the recommendations and choose to follow the directives.

– That there is a willingness and support. There we have spoken with colleagues from other countries who see concerns about going from a strong “blockade” and then moving on to this situation. We have maintained a situation with basically the same recommendations, information that works, that the spread of infections decreases if you keep your distance and hygiene. There are no other tricks before we have medical measures available, mainly vaccines. Here, the population has absorbed this in Sweden.
