Outwardly, Holly Madison lived a life full of party and glamor at Playboy Mansion. But behind the scenes, the 20-year-old aspiring model’s life quickly turned into a nightmare, writes The Sun.
Holly Madison was Hugh Hefner’s girlfriend between 2001 and 2008. She was introduced to him through a mutual friend and quickly became part of the Playboy house.
But she quickly realized that there were requirements inside the house to be able to live with Hefner. Among other things, the brides were forced to participate in weekly orgies with the Playboy icon every Wednesday and Friday, he says.
– It was a requirement to live here, and it was expected, Madison said about orgies to Buzzfeed 2015.
Disconnected and controlled
Holly Madison goes on to tell how she was cut off from the rest of the world and controlled by the Playboy icon.
According to Madison, Hefner was able to make nasty comments about her appearance, and also refused to let her see a therapist when she fell into depression, writes The Sun.
Madison must have considered taking her own life at one point.
“He just couldn’t take the misery anymore,” he writes according to the newspaper.
But after seven years with Hefner, she left the Playboy house in 2009 for good. Instead, she married her then-husband Pasquale Rotella in 2013.
SUICIDAL THOUGHTS? HERE YOU CAN ROTATE
Are you related? Always take suicidal thoughts or plans seriously. Stay calm, but act.
Speak up and dare to listen. Express your concerns and ask questions. Give concrete examples of why you think there is a risk of suicide. Show empathy and never judge. But maintain that everyone has their own responsibility for their actions.
A suicidal person needs to see someone from psychiatry right away. Call 112 or go to an emergency room. If possible, don’t leave the person alone.
Suicide is often an impulsive act. Suicidal people are often ambivalent about the latter. It is possible to influence them. Emphasize that help is possible and that things will get better.
Always call 112 if the situation is urgent.
