Tegnell’s new statement on Örebro: “He has had a lot”

The Swedish Public Health Agency has started offering advice for individual regions.

It has already happened in Uppsala, increasingly affected.

This means that the Swedish Public Health Agency has now issued advice on how to avoid public transport, large private parties, and working from home. Also, Uppsala residents should not meet people they do not live with.

Anders Tegnell also points to Örebro as a region where there has been a greater spread of the infection. However, he thinks it is too early to respond if Örebro in particular needs more advice.

– We will certainly have a dialogue with various regions now in the coming weeks when this opportunity presents itself. We see that it is moving in various regions of Sweden. Skåne went up a lot the other day. Örebro has also had a role, he tells TV4 and continues:

– Sometimes there are explanations behind, that it has begun to do more tests or that it has outbreaks of which it has gained control. But these dialogues should determine when you need these additional steps you can take.

The region’s infectious disease physician, Gunlög Rasmussen, said in a press release Tuesday that it is not relevant at this time, but that assessment may change.

“We do not see that we are in a situation in which they are relevant at this time. In that assessment we start from current strategies and the burden on health, among other things. But the situation can change quickly and be evaluated continuously,” he said.
