Rudy Giuliani leads Donald Trump’s strategy of chaos to change the outcome of the election.
At the same time, he is said to be worried about his future when Joe Biden takes over the White House.
Now he wants to be pardoned by the president to block possible prosecutions, according to various news sources.
During his last term in power, a president who resigns generally pardons convicted people whom he believes should be able to go free. In recent weeks, Donald Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, 76, in meetings with the president has raised the question of whether he can be pardoned himself, both ABC News and the New York Times report.
What is spectacular in this context is that he is not convicted of a crime, but wants to be pardoned in advance for possible future prosecutions, according to the information.
Self-interest forgiveness
Donald Trump has not indicated how he sees the possibility of giving his gunman a free pass, according to the New York Times.
“Forgiving Giuliani would be politically explosive, but forgiving friends has been done before,” Harvard professor Jack L Goldsmith told the New York Times.
– The power to forgive has been used by many presidents for their own political interests, be it George HW Bush or Clinton.
And Rudy Giuliani, without question, has worked together to help the president.
Since the election, Giuliani has been instrumental in Donald Trump’s attempts to question the election. He has delivered broad and radical allegations of cheating and fraud that are behind Joe Biden’s victory.
Most of the president’s attorneys gave up when judges postponed lawsuits for invalid votes and other irregularities and all avenues to change the election outcome were closed.

Rudy Giuliani is worried about the future, according to reports.
Took over after the speakers fight
Giuliani, however, claimed in a high-profile fight over a speaker in the Oval Office that the lawyers lied to Trump and that he could certainly win. The next day, the president tweeted that Giuliani, along with Jenna Ellis and Sidney Powell, were leading his legal team.
Then the strategy shifted from complicated, technical processes in each state to directly challenging the entire system. One of the accusations concerns the voting machines of the Dominion company, which is said to have been used to transfer votes cast by Trump to Biden with the help of “communist money” from Venezuela and China.
The idea was said to be to create as much doubt and chaos around the election as possible, so that Donald Trump could convince Republican politicians in the states in question not to approve of the election result. So far, the tactics have been unsuccessful.
And Rudy Giuliani has not been afraid to stick his chin out, and incur anger and contempt, for President Trump. The time before the election, he was behind an attempt to stop Joe Biden from giving in to his son Hunter.
It’s a long story that as early as 2019 meant that Giuliani attracted the interest of federal prosecutors in New York for possible crimes in attempts to get Hunter Biden to investigate Hunter Biden for business in the country by Ukrainian authorities.
Now Rudy Giuliani runs the risk of falling into his own hands and having his own business in Ukraine end up in legal proceedings. Two of his accomplices have already been indicted after a complicated operation that sought to undermine the US ambassador to Ukraine.
Both Trump and Giuliani thought she was doing little to pressure Ukraine to investigate Hunter Biden.
Attacked the Biden family
Prosecutors have tried to find out if Giuliani’s efforts to remove the ambassador worked not only for Trump, but also for Ukrainian officials who may have had reasons of their own for getting rid of her.
It is a federal crime in the United States to try to influence US authorities on an assignment or with the assistance of a foreign power without revealing their involvement. Rudy Giuliani says he did nothing wrong and only worked for Donald Trump.
In the weeks leading up to the election, Giuliani relived the attacks on the Biden family. A hard drive that supposedly belonged to Hunter Biden was used in a series of articles in the New York Post to try to prove that he was involved in shady deals in both Ukraine and China and used his father, the then vice president, to enrich himself.
On his YouTube channel, Rudy Giuliani displayed posters on people and flags and claimed, without visible evidence, that hundreds of millions of crowns had ended up in the pockets of the Biden family through international corruption. He called them the “Biden crime family” and portrayed Joe Biden as a kind of godfather.
Donald Trump repeatedly linked to the allegations during the election campaign and called the Biden family vacuum cleaners during the televised election debate. “They suck all the money they can,” he said.
According to the New York Times, Giuliani is concerned that the federal investigation, which now appears to be frozen, could be reactivated with Joe Biden as president. And he seems to share concerns about the future with Donald Trump.

Can forgive the children
According to ABC News sources, it has been discussed in informal conversations at the White House whether the president can forgive himself or his family members in advance to block any charges.
– Children have been through enough, says one of Trump’s close advisers to the television channel.
It is unclear how such an arrangement would work in practice. It is said that it is legally uncertain whether a president has the opportunity to forgive himself or members of his own family.
Until now, Donald Trump has not told his staff how he thinks about the issue. Several employees believe that an advance pardon can be seen as an admission of guilt in some way.
Rudy Giuliani, through his attorney Robert Costello, tells the New York Times that he is not concerned about possible investigations because he has done nothing wrong.
