During the night of Monday, the police carried out a large police operation in Upplands Väsby, north of Stockholm. On their website, they write that they have been on the site after “blast alarms.”
But according to information from Aftonbladet, the operation is about an alleged assassination attempt. Several perpetrators are said to have threatened a man by pointing a gun at his head. They must have fired too, but for some reason the gun has “clicked.”
The background to the assassination attempt must be some kind of extortion story, according to information from Aftonbladet.
In the search for the perpetrators, the police have raided several addresses. Two have been arrested and more will be released and persecuted.
The police are very secretive about the case, but confirm that two people have been arrested overnight.
– We have arrested two people. They are suspected of a serious crime, but I cannot explain what it is, says Åsa Wallentin, a press spokesperson for the Stockholm Police.
They are two men, 18 and 19 years old, according to information to Aftonbladet.
Images from the scene show how the police attacked with reinforcement weapons at 6.30 pm.
According to the Stockholm police, the police also searched the area with dog patrols, searched several people and heard witnesses during the operation.
