Swedish Islamic State women and their children have recently fled to Turkey. The women have been in various detention camps in Kurdish-controlled areas in northeastern Syria, which the Expressen newspaper was the first to report.
According to information from SVT, these are at least two Swedish women who are linked to the terrorist group IS. Women must be in Turkish custody with their children. Sources tell SVT that the women have been smuggled out of northwestern Syria, where they were in prison camps for ISIS supporters in Kurdish-controlled areas.
The Swedish authorities are aware of the case and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirms that they know the information but do not want to go into specific cases.

The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs writes in an email to SVT:
“We know that there are reports that some women and the children who accompany them are in the border areas between Syria and Turkey. We are following this.”
“Several people have returned to Sweden in recent years after being in Syria. The Swedish authorities, including the police and social services, are well prepared to respond to these individuals upon their return. We currently have no further information to provide. “
Various in concentration camps
At the beginning of the summer I could SVT talks about a Swedish woman IS who managed to get out of the infamous al-Hol camp in Syria and is now in the Gothenburg region, according to information from SVT. The western Swedish woman is in her 30s and traveled to Syria in 2013.
