The most contagious new variant of the coronavirus has been found in both the UK and Denmark.
Home Secretary Mikael Damberg has previously announced that Sweden will impose a travel ban to the UK on Monday, to prevent the new virus from spreading to the country.
“The government does not want criticism”
During the day, both the Left Party, the Crisis Democrats, the Moderates and the Sweden Democrats have demanded that the government also close the border with Denmark.

There are no confirmed cases in Sweden
Last week the UK announced that it had discovered a more contagious variant of the coronavirus in the country. According to the country’s Health Minister, the virus infects up to 70 percent more than the previous version.
According to the Swedish Public Health Agency, there are still no confirmed cases in Sweden of the new variant of the virus.
– Like all other countries, we check the genetic material of a proportion of all viruses continuously, and this has not been discovered in Sweden, Anders Tegnell told Swedish radio yesterday.
