SVT Novus: S reverses the downtrend

The crisis in the crown appears to have affected much of the electorate over the past year. As the pandemic spread across the country, support for the dominant ruling party, the Social Democrats, also increased. This was followed by months of declining support, but now that the crisis is deepening again, support appears to be growing again.

– Although we can’t see any statistically significant change from last month, we can note that the Social Democrats have reversed a five-month downward trend, says Torbjörn Sjöström, who is CEO of Novus.

M has strengthened its position

Obviously, it has been difficult to act in opposition over the last year, but it is also clear that the moderates during this time have strengthened their position as the second largest party. Sweden’s Democrats, who have perhaps been the most critical party in managing the government’s crisis, have lost their second place since last winter.

The Green Party has continuous problems, the crisis of the Liberals continues while the Christian Democrats have long underperformed their electoral result. The Party of the Left is still clearly superior to the result of the 2018 elections, while the Party of the Center is slightly lower.
