Sven Wollter has died in the covid-19 suites.
The popular actor who lives in Luleå fell ill after a visit to Stockholm.
“I’m 86 years old, you know, so I have reason to be a bit worried,” he told Aftonbladet a few days before his death.
“He achieved a painless ending surrounded by all his loved ones,” writes his daughter Stina Wollter on Instagram.

“It is with boundless sadness that Sven Wollter’s family hereby announce that today, November 10, he flew directly to the Covid’s suites,” the post begins.
She says she “got a painless ending surrounded by all of her loved ones.” Stina Wollter writes that “she was an outstanding person with a warmth and presence that permeated everything she did and created.”
He also wants to take the opportunity to thank the IVA staff in Luleå.
“Reason to worry”
It was in late October that the popular actor told Aftonbladet that he had spent the entire 2020 crown year in Luleå or at the summer cottage in Bohuslän. Everything to keep your distance. But then he went to Stockholm and got COVID-19 even though he was careful to keep his distance.
After two or three days, he noticed how tired he was starting to feel.
“Tired, tired, tired,” said Sven Wollter just days before his death.

Solid acting career
Sven Wollter was born on January 11, 1934 in Gothenburg and later trained at the Gothenburg City Theater. He was then active in big theaters like the National Theater and the Norrköping City Theater, to name just a few.
He has a solid cast behind him in both theater and film. During the 1970s, he made his way into Wilhem Moberg’s “Raskens” series on SVT. This is followed by a series of major roles in such hits as “Man on the Roof” and “Man from Mallorca. He received a Golden Bug in 1985 for Best Leading Role in “The Last Game.” In 2001 he won a Golden Bug in the same category for “A song for Martín” where he played against Viveka Sehldal with whom he was then and with whom he often filmed.
Latest roles in Van Veeteren and Solsidan
In recent years, he has played the lead role in the “Van Veeteren” films based on the novels by Håkan Nesser. In 2010 he played in “Änglagård – the third time gillt” and more recently as the role of Mauritz Schiller in “Solsidan” 2017.
