Police found several weapons in the Hagen couple’s home after Anne-Elisabeth Hagen disappeared. The murder suspect’s husband, also a billionaire, Tom Hagen, is suspected of illegal possession of weapons, reports NRK.

The woman disappeared at the end of October 2018 and the police worked for a long time on the hypothesis that she had been kidnapped. Last summer, they began to assume that she had been murdered and then her husband was suspected of being involved.

A couple of weeks after the disappearance, the police found a shotgun next to Tom Hagen’s bed and at least four pistols, two of which were sealed, in the house, as well as some ammunition. His lawyer says Hagen had the weapons to protect himself if the person or persons who abducted his wife returned. Hagen also says that he told police about the guns at an early stage.

The man is not licensed and the weapons have not been stored as recommended by law.

Tom Hagen was arrested in April this year, but was released shortly after. He denies having anything to do with his wife’s disappearance.
