A man has been taken to hospital after being injured in connection with a riot in the Jönköping city park.
– It was feared that he was seriously injured. But when the medical services examine him, they find no visible damage to the body, says Åsa Willsund, a police spokeswoman.
He is still being treated at the hospital where the care personnel considered that the man needed to be put to sleep.
– In the hospital it is judged that he needed to be anesthetized, so the question is whether he was injured in any other way, says Åsa Willsund.
It is not yet clear how the dispute took place, but witnesses have seen and heard parts of the course of events.
– We will talk to the man when he wakes up, so after questioning we will see if the image clears up.
The police have launched a preliminary investigation for attempted murder. No one has been arrested yet.
