A former police suspect in Halland is suing the Police Authority for wrongful dismissal, writes Hallands Nyheter. Varberg District Court will take up the case on Monday.

It was in April of last year that the man was fired.

According to the authority’s investigation, which the newspaper has read, the former police employee paid a doctor who, for a fee, prescribed preparations classified as drugs. The man claims that someone else made the money transfer with his phone. However, he has not stated who and during the investigation he did not state that he himself was a policeman, it was only discovered at a later time.

The former police officer must also have transferred a total of about SEK 470,000 to a criminal and is suspected of having made unauthorized searches in the police system.

The man himself says he suffers from drug and gambling addiction, but believes that the dismissal has no factual basis.
