– It is obvious that they feel a great disappointment with how the whole process has been from the beginning, that they were not heard and that their voices were not taken seriously and there is a wound that is still alive so there are high expectations that the polls here now they offer more answers, says Mikael Damberg.

What answers could you give to the concerns and demands for additional knowledge about this that exist?

– The most important thing is that we are clear that the government is prepared to provide both the resources that the Accident Investigation Board may need to carry out the investigations, but also that we are prepared if it is necessary to change the serious protection law that may be necessary to investigate what may have caused the new data.

– We believe that there are things that can be done in parallel with this and military transport is a problem. I mean new information has emerged based on what I said I saw military transports in Estonia that night, says Sara Hedrenius.

Survivor Anders Eriksson He was also present at today’s meeting, he also wanted to be clear about how things were with military transports.

– Everybody just talked about military transports and asked questions about it, says Anders Eriksson.

And did Damberg have an answer to that?

– No, he did not want to answer anything, it is the table of the Minister of Defense but they have had nothing to do with military transports in principle, he said.

And so Mikael Damberg comments on the issue after the meeting.

– I had no new answers to give but I have exactly the same answer that Peter Hultqvist had last week that the Swedish authorities are completely open to the Accident Investigation Board if they want to delve into this, there is no secret around this ask, says Mikael Damberg.
