In December 2018, prosecutor Mikael Björk resumed the previously closed preliminary investigation into two felony bodily injury cases in the case of synthetic tracheas at the Karolinska University Hospital in Solna. During the resumption of the preliminary investigation, the investigation of a third case was reopened.
