God save you Maria and Per Lennartsson.

Super horse Hail Mary took another big win.

And it was acclaimed:

– Isn’t this the best horse in the world so old? Said expert Jennifer Tillman on TV12.

Per Lennartsson, who jumped as pilot when trainer Robert Bergh was suspended, sent Hail Mary straight to the lead in the Breeders Crown final for four-year-old stallions and geldings. So it was a cool move by Coach Bergh to pick track 3 with his star horse in the track draw.

Once in the lead, this year’s Derby winner advanced at a high pace, which suited him best.

The others tried, but never got near the Ave Maria, which “trotted” in the maximum time of 1.11.5 in 2,140 meters.

– It’s unique. It is a phenomenon. Period, said expert commentator Patrik Fernlund immediately after the finale.

He was supported by a deeply impressed trio in the television studio.

– Isn’t this the best horse in the world so old? Said expert Jennifer Tillman on TV12.

“You are rarely allowed to ride horses like this.”

Robert Bergh and driver Per Lennartsson were, of course, very happy with the horse of the day.

– It was fantastic, Bergh said in summary.

Lennartsson:

– It’s a new horse. Definitely in the right direction. It is a pleasure to drive. It is so calm. It’s rare that he’s allowed to ride a horse like this, he said.

Now another race awaits Ave Maria. Then the bow is tightened and the eyes turn to France. The goal: Critérium Continental on the Paris Vincennes line at the end of December.

But there will be no start for the Prix d’Amérique this season for the canon de Bergh.

– Another year will be even better, said Bergh.
