The police and the ambulance were alerted at 11:48 a.m. to a school in Växjö.
A student must have been abused by a minor.
The injured student is taken by ambulance to the hospital. The damage situation is unknown.
– We have spoken with the victim and we are at the hospital site to continue speaking with him when possible, says Katarina Rusin, to SVT.
According to the police, the suspect has been arrested in a residential area near the school.
– The incident is initially investigated as an assault, but it may change, says Katarina Rusin, spokeswoman for the police command center for the southern region.
Information on stab wounds
According to information from Smålandsposten, the injured child must have stab wounds.
– At the moment, we cannot comment on the damage situation or go into details about the abuse, says Katrina Rusin.
There was disturbance at the school in connection with the assault, but in a press release from the Växjö municipality, the school management writes that it calmed you down after a few hours.
“The situation in the school is now considered to be under control and the other students of the school are gathered in their classrooms of origin together with the teachers,” it is written.
Student health staff is available at the school and offers support to students in need.
