morning wind warning around the Öresund bridge it was kept at two o’clock on Sunday.

– Overland in the south, there are still strong gusts, in coastal areas even strong gusts, it also affects the Öresund bridge, says Alexandra Ohlsson.

And the weather gods seem to be in constant disagreement in the extreme south of the country.

– It’s still windy there and we can probably count on it continuing into the afternoon. It is only overnight towards Monday that it begins to decrease.

Warns vehicles

Gusts of wind in the strait prompted the Swedish Transport Administration to issue a daytime warning for wind-sensitive vehicles that are advised not to cross the bridge during the day. The warning is scheduled until Sunday night.

SMHI warns of gales in the Sound and most of the Baltic Sea, up to the Gulf of Bothnia.

On the west coast in particular, the winds are accompanied by precipitation: during the morning rain, but later in the day there can also be elements of wet snow. Then the temperature also drops to minus degrees.

Risk of icing

But residents of the West Coast are not alone – most people looking out the window during the day will notice rain or snow in the air.

SMHI also warns of sudden slips along the Norrland coast and in western Svealand. In Värmland and Örebro counties, this is especially true this morning.

The Norrland coast receives softer air from the Baltic Sea and there the snowfall during the day will increasingly turn into rain onto a negative grade road, which means there is a continuing risk of ice.
