KD’s Ebba Busch firmly states that Stefan Löfven and the responsible heads of authorities have discussed the benefits of more corona infections.

Something that is rejected by other participants in the meeting.

“I also participated in meetings and not once was it considered an advantage that many Swedes fell ill quickly,” writes Anders W. Jonsson (C) on Twitter.

According to Ebba Busch of the Christian Democrats, one of the points discussed during the current crown meetings with all party leaders and responsible authorities last year was the benefits of a further spread of the infection in society.

“We have sat in meetings with the Prime Minister and responsible heads of government who reasoned about the benefits of a further spread of the infection, that we would achieve immunity faster than other countries, it has turned out to be a serious mistake, they should have dared to admit before, “he explained. Aftonbladet during Wednesday.

Löfven: Absolutely wrong

However, the claim was quickly rejected by Stefan Löfven, who believes it is “completely wrong”.

– I don’t understand what it comes from, he tells Aftonbladet.

Green Party spokesman Per Bolund also disagrees with the statement:

“Of course, a high spread of infection is not desirable, and neither has that reasoning been presented at these meetings. Immunity-related medical data has been presented, but has never been discussed as part of the Swedish crown’s strategy, ”he writes in an email to Aftonbladet.

“Not even once”

Several other meeting participants, including former Left Party leader Jonas Sjöstedt and then-acting Center Party leader Anders W. Jonsson, also reject Busch’s statement:

“I also participated in meetings and not once was it seen as an advantage that many Swedes fell ill quickly. The fact that the population’s immunity increases when more people have had a viral infection is a medical finding, not a political goal! “Anders W. Jonsson writes on Twitter.

Sjöstedt: It is not the same memory image

Jonas Sjöstedt also doesn’t remember it as Ebba Busch describes it:

“I don’t have the same memory image as Ebba. Of course, many realized that a slightly higher spread of the infection was an effect of parts of the Swedish strategy, but I do not recall the government saying that further spread of the infection was an end in itself, “he writes in Twitter

In subsequent tweets, the KD leader has repeated the statement, clarifying that she did not say that was the goal:

EB: protect risk groups

“The aim was to protect risk groups and limit the spread of infection so that the curve would stay low and attention would have time. The possible positive effect of that would be a higher degree of immunity, ”he explains.

Aftonbladet has sought out Ebba Busch and the Swedish moderates and democrats to no avail.

Liberal Nyamko Sabuni declined to comment.
