According to statistics from the Public Health Authority, the number of tests for ongoing crown infection increased at least last week, from just over 28,800 to almost 29,400. This means that there is still a good way to reach the government target of 100,000 tests per week, which was supposed to be reached in mid-May.
There is laboratory capacity and the social minister, Lena Hallengren (S), has signaled her dissatisfaction with the way the regions are testing for covid-19. Last week, Harriet Wallberg was named test coordinator to eliminate bottlenecks and get regions to start conducting more tests.
First, patients, second, health and care personnel, third, are people who work in other socially important activities, and fourth, people from the other community are evaluated.
In total, almost 150,000 samples from individuals have been analyzed since diagnoses were established in Sweden.
