Sterling’s full blow gave City victory in the big game with Arsenal

On Saturday night the big game of the Premier League approached when Manchester City received Arsenal at the Ethiad Stadium.

Before the game with Arsenal, Manchester City had won a game, crossed one and lost one in their first three Premier League games. For Arsenal, they had three wins and one loss in their four Premier League games.

Kevin De Bruyne was absent from Manchester City through injury when they hosted Arsenal on Saturday night, when great talent Phil Foden took his place.

With 20 minutes played, Raheem Sterling opened the scoring in the match. Sergio Agüero released Foden who received and fired in two strikes. Bernd Leno, however, managed to save but came back, which Sterling intercepted and pushed City 1-0.

The second half offered no more goals, but the match ended 1-0. Manchester City won the match and now move up to tenth place in the Premier League, however with a less disputed match. For Arsenal, they are now in fourth place.

On the positive side from Arsenal’s perspective, however, they saw the new big signing, Thomas Partey, make his London debut after the Ghana midfielder was substituted in the 83rd minute.

This is followed by City facing West Ham in London and Arsenal facing Leicester at home.
