Life has changed dramatically, but the crisis is far from over, Stefan Löfven warned against a background of blue-yellow flags on Labor Day on May 1.
Attacks against the opposition were completely absent in the speech broadcast on Facebook and YouTube.
The speech contained no news. and without promises, but more than grim warnings and serious words.
“More people will get sick, more people will die, many people will get rid of work,” he said in the speech.
“As prime minister, I wish I could say that now the crisis is over, now we are leaving that hard work behind, but unfortunately we are not there. On the contrary, it is far there. ”
When the crisis is over, it should happen with a cut, according to Löfven.
“The day the pandemic ends, Sweden will quickly stand up financially,” he said.
Right now it’s health, life and jobs that need to be saved. But beyond the crisis, there are also reasons to see how society works, according to Löfven.
“The day will come when the crisis will end when we need to seriously discuss the deficiencies and strengths of our society: we have organized ours and the best way,” he asks.
