Suggested alcohol stop
Last week, the government proposed to stop the sale of alcohol in restaurants after 10 p.m., something that will take effect on November 20. Stefan Löfven called for a toughening up and called on all Swedes to take responsibility for reducing the increasing spread of the infection.
Last week, the government and the Swedish Public Health Agency announced stricter rules for restaurant visits. No more than eight people are allowed to sit at the same table in a restaurant.
As recently as October 22, the government decided to waive the ban on public gatherings and public events for more than 50 people. For theater, concerts, cinemas and sporting events with seats, audiences of up to 300 people with a certain distance between them would be allowed.
