Johan Häggström had to settle for silver when the Swedish Championship sprint was decided on Wednesday.

But in the next day’s three miles, the 28-year-old got his revenge, even though one of his posts went off mid-race.

One of the leaders quickly threw a new rod, which Häggström managed to catch in midair. But unfortunately it differed a few inches from the other rod.

– Maybe it was the middle of the race with rods of different lengths. But it’s not something you think about later, it’s just to make the best of the situation, says Johan Häggström and shows the poles.

It was a small rematch of Tuesday’s sprint, when he had to settle for silver.

And a major receipt for the World Cup in Oberstdorf in two weeks, after a much more intense period earlier this winter.

– It’s like day and night, I’ve also felt it in the sprint, says Johan Häggström.

– You’ve thought a lot. But now it is two weeks in which you have to drop your shoulders, try to enjoy and gather energy.

Behind the skier Piteå Elite it was silver and bronze for IFK Mora through Jonas Eriksson and Eric Rosjö.

Jens Burman had to settle for fourth place after being overtaken by Rosjö in the race.
