It’s no exaggeration to call Cyberpunk 2077 one of the most coveted game titles of recent years. After several delays, the game was finally released on December 10, 2020, where reports of multiple bugs were accompanied by poor performance on previous generation game consoles. CD Projekt RED was quick to promise that the issues would be fixed in future updates.
In relation to the promised updates, CD Projekt RED also urged disappointed customers to request money back at the store where the game was purchased. At first, it seemed that Sony would not allow customers to cancel Playstation 4 version purchases, but now the company is responding by removing Cyberpunk 2077 from the Playstation Store digital store and offering customers money back.
At SIE we care about our customers and therefore we will begin offering a full refund to everyone who purchased Cyberpunk 2077 through the PlayStation Store. Also, we are removing Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store for now.
Once we have confirmed that you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 through the PlayStation Store, we will begin the refund process. Note! It may take different amounts of time for the money to be refunded depending on your payment method and your bank.
Sony does not announce when Cyberpunk 2077 may return to the Playstation store. In an internal announcement on the Gamestop chain of stores, CD Projekt RED reveals that the studio plans to release a major update on December 21, 2020, which will fix the worst problems of the previous generation of game consoles.
Have you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 for any of the previous generation game consoles? Do you think bugs and performance issues are enough to hamper the gaming experience?
