The Söderled Tunnel in Stockholm is closed southbound and will be closed overnight and a bit until Friday morning.
Currently, there is no exact forecast of when traffic can be released as usual, according to the Swedish Transport Administration.
The reason for the stop is a water leak that has mined the road.
There are and have been very long lines. The problem has also affected other roads in the traffic system, with queues as a result.
I had to urgently close
At first it was planned to be able to keep at least one road open in the tunnel, but it did not work.
– We had to close urgently, says Ramona Winsner at Trafik Stockholm.
The water has run under the road and right now there is an excavator installed to excavate the road.
– Those who remained inside the tunnel received help from there, says Ramona Winsner.
Which path should you take now?
– You can drive around the city.
