This morning SMHI continues to warn of heavy snow in parts of Västerbotten. The Class 1 warning applies to coastal parts where 5 to 15 centimeters of snow is expected to fall during the day.

South of Skellefteå and towards Lövånger, there may be even more snow, according to SMHI. Both snowfall and wind are expected to decrease during the day.

Trucks stopped on the slippery slope

In almost the entire northern part of Sweden, there is a risk that road conditions will be difficult or very difficult, according to the Swedish Transport Administration and Sundsvalls Tidning’s reports of queues and traffic interruptions between Timrå and Härnösand due to the slippage.

Among other things, several trucks must have been stopped on the E4 between Timrå and Härnösand during the morning, due to the slip.

– We have a traffic accident on E4, where it is stopped. This is a truck that a car has gotten into, says Fredrik Lindqvist, an intern officer for the Medelpad Rescue Services Association.

However, Fredrik Lindqvist cannot confirm the cause of the accident or whether road conditions influenced the course of events.

There are three kinds of warnings.
