The low pressure that moved across the Atlantic has reached the Norwegian Sea overnight and on Monday morning it will blow mainly over northwestern Götaland and southwestern Svealand. SMHI has issued class 1 warnings for very strong wind gusts in Bohuslän, Dalsland, Värmland and Örebro counties.

Most of the country You will feel the wind, which especially in the northeastern parts of Sweden is accompanied by precipitation.

– In the coastal areas of Västerbotten and Norrbotten, we have warned of large amounts of rain, and it will also blow there, says Moa Hallberg.

The warnings remain until late afternoon or early evening, when the winds are expected to subside a bit, although they do not completely disappear and the next few days are likely to be gray as well.

The weather during the day makes up for it for ferries and trains. Wasaline states on its website that a ferry departure from Umeå and another from Vaasa will be canceled on Monday due to bad weather.

In western Sweden it is established Train traffic between Uddevalla and Strömstad due to weather, Västtrafik announces. The stop, which applies from Sunday night, runs until 06:00 on Tuesday. Buses will replace trains on the route.

On the E6 near Mölndal, the lanes are flooded and morning traffic is slower than usual. However, traffic travels both ways and the Swedish Transport Administration urges drivers to drive carefully.

Those that can withstand the strongest winds and rainfall can enjoy relatively warm days. In Götaland to southeast of Svealand, it can be up to 15 degrees.

However, the thermometer is unlikely to reach the November record of 18.4 degrees, set in Ugerup in the Kristianstad municipality in 1968.

– No, it doesn’t look so sexy, says Moa Hallberg.
