The alarm about the incident occurred at 6:16 p.m. on Saturday night and an ambulance and the police rushed to the scene.
– We are alerted by a run over person. We arrive and find that it is a 6-year-old boy who has been affected, says Katarina Rusin.
The boy had been hit by a car when he was about to cross a crosswalk.
– The boy and his father were going to cross the street when this motorist does not fulfill the duty to yield and thus collides with the child, says Katarina Rusin.
It is suspected that the motorist has not fulfilled the duty to yield and the police prepare a report.
The situation of the child’s injury and other circumstances are not yet clear.
– The boy was examined by the ambulance attendants at the scene and later taken to the hospital. We are at the hospital to interview the child and his guardian whenever possible, says Katarina Rusin.
At 8:19 p.m., the police announced that they were ready at the hospital and that they had conducted interrogations with the driver and the affected child.
