To be able to buy eggs at the Ica store in Lindome, you must now be 18 years old, something like P4 Gothenburg be the first to tell. After ovulation occurred in the area, the store manager decided to put a sign on the store shelf that refers to the age limit.

– Our staff has noticed, especially in the afternoons, that young gangs have come in who have wanted to buy eggs, so they have been a bit clever, they have laughed a little at the box and so on, so it has been quite obvious they won’t use the eggs for cooking, says store owner Linda Dahlin.

She says she hopes the sign can get adults to react and talk to their children about events in the area. So far, customer reactions have been positive.

– We would like to sell eggs, of course, but not if the purpose is to do something stupid with the eggs, he says.

The municipality, Västtrafik and the police work together

During the autumn, the Mölndal Culture and Leisure Administration will cooperate, among others, with Västtrafik and the police to increase security in Lindome.

– It can be good to inform the public and parents that parents talk to their children so that they understand that it can have serious consequences with ovulation, says Therése Hognert, coordinator of the administration of culture and leisure of P4 Gothenburg.
