A large police operation is underway in Vällingby, west of Stockholm, late Monday night. The patrols have found two people injured at the scene.
– We received a call shortly after 11 pm Several people called us for heavy blows, which were thought to be gunshots. When we got to the scene, we found a wounded man outside. The injury situation is unclear for that person, says Åsa Wallentin of the Stockholm Police.
– We have an even larger ongoing effort in which we seek one or more perpetrators. We have cordoned off the scene and questioned witnesses, he continues.
“There are probable gunshot wounds”
Witnesses tell Aftonbladet that they heard an automatic shot and that about ten shots were fired. They must have seen two men leave the place. The newspaper also writes that the two injured people were found in a car.
Initially, the police could only confirm that one person had been found injured.
– Probably gunshot wounds, Åsa Wallentin said.
Later, the Police assures that they are two people. One of them has been taken by ambulance to the hospital.
