SHL plays during national team halftime • The strategy to face the crown

[ad_1]

The SHL started on September 19. But even then, three games were postponed from the game schedule.

Then due to the fact that it was expected to have more viewers in October.

They began to put games from September to January 19.

But it was from October 20 that people began to lose count.

It was then that the first play of the game came due to a crown outbreak in a team. It was the Linköping squad that had about 20 cases.

No LHC games were played before the break and the team is already far behind compared to the other teams.

Then he kept rolling.

Djurgården, Skellefteå, Leksand and Luleå had outbreaks in their troops before the break.

Just as the SHL was preparing for a reboot, it was HV71 who raged on his squad.

The club has now announced that there are seven cases, and there will be even more match moves on the game schedule.

Tuesday’s game against Brynäs has moved, Thursday’s game against Luleå has already moved, and Saturday’s game against Leksand is likely to move as well.

Johan Hemlin: “I hope to get rid of him”

How will SHL manage to play every game?

Johan Hemlin responds:

– We work with several blocks. Where there are gaps. In fact, it is from next week, until the Beijer Hockey Games in February, inclusive, that we have the opportunity to add games, he says.

But haven’t you used a lot of loopholes already and then have eight teams in SHL that haven’t had a crown break yet?

– That’s exactly what we take into account. There may be more outbursts and then we have air on the game schedule.

SHL’s strategy for matches is to play postponed matches as soon as possible. You want to avoid playing with the slots that are available in January and onward as much as possible. Instead, matches are now planned for November and December, so they still have air on the game schedule.

– That’s exactly right, says Hemlin.

Now the SHL is also starting to roll back the games, to continue to “have air” in the game schedule.

The match between Brynäs and Leksand, which should have been played on October 29, was moved to January 19.

It has now been moved to December 15th.

All to create the conditions for the parties to advance even further, as the SHL fears that the latest crown shoots have barely occurred.

– Naturally, we hope we can avoid it. But we want secure arrangements and we don’t take risks. Therefore, it is good that we gain height to be able to move more games, says Johan Hemlin.

Play during the national team break

For those who are familiar with the international calendar, it can be noted that the SHL is now also playing matches during the so-called December break.

During week 51 (December 14-21), the Channel One Cup is played in Moscow. The SHL has already scored two games.

The aforementioned match between Brynäs and Leksand, but also Brynäs’ meeting with HV71 will be played during this break, when they play on December 17th.

More matches may be moved there.

– It is true that we have created the opportunity to play during the national team’s break. We already agreed with the international federation in June, says Johan Hemlin.

What happens when you also fill in these dates, when teams seven, eight and nine had their outbursts?

– Right now we have air on the calendar and we have it even later. You can point out four things that allow us to move matches. Number one was that we started the season on time, number two is that the CHL canceled so we were able to play days there, number three is that we can play in the national team halftime and number four is that we can play days followed as long as the sport conditions are right.

What do you mean?

– The clubs decide based on their sporting conditions. When a match is canceled, they have 24 hours to agree on a date. If it is suitable for both of you, you can suggest a match date that is the day after you both have played. It is the home team in the postponed game that holds the strings.

Clubs have 4,000 rapid tests

Right now, the SHL has postponed 16 games. Most likely, there are more, but the pain threshold is far from being crossed.

Johan Hemlin means that gaps still exist and with the strategy of playing as fast as possible, you keep gaps open later in the game schedule.

– But it is clear that the later in the season, the more difficult it will be to move games.

You are worried?

– No. We have the conditions to move matches and as far as the medical part is concerned, we have ordered even more tests and we have around 4000 rapid tests and regular tests in the clubs so they can test themselves frequently. We want secure arrangements and we are taking no chances. I have continuous meetings with sports managers, coaches, material managers and medical personnel and we do not risk anything. We take the safe before the unsafe all the time. That is the essential.
