During the night and on Sunday morning, the police received an alarm about a total of four robberies in Jönköping; three villas in Vätterslund and a fast food restaurant in the center of Jönköping. During the first robbery, residents witnessed the incident.
– An unknown man had entered through the front door that was open. When the residents saw him, he immediately left the house. The man probably didn’t bring anything from the village, says police spokeswoman Åsa Willsund.
Police soon received similar alarms from two more villas in the same area. A man with the same mark had entered their villas. In one villa, the perpetrator had taken a mobile phone.
Detained at the fast food restaurant
Later in the morning, around four thirty, police from a fast food restaurant were alerted after a man broke a window pane and entered.
When the police patrol arrived at the scene, the man tried to flee, but was arrested. The man, who is 25 years old, is suspected of aggravated robbery and attempted robbery with burglary.
– His appearance is consistent with the previous events and we suspect that it was he who carried out the robberies in the villas.
The man will be questioned and a prosecutor will decide whether to arrest him or release him. He already has several convictions for theft.
