A positive covid-19 test prevented the Danish coach from attending when MFF secured the Swedish Championship gold in the final round. Following the 4-0 win over Sirius, the club confirmed that Anders Christiansen also fell ill with a crown and the entire football business was canceled last week.
It resumed on Tuesday, but expect an MFF regular eleven at Tele2 Arena against Hammarby tomorrow.
– More players have been added today, which is positive compared to yesterday. It’s a bit difficult to say who will be a hundred, but like I said yesterday, we will have a really good team. Of course, there is someone who has fitness problems, which is natural when they have been inactive for more than ten days and have been bedridden. Some of the guys are gasping for air, but I think they handled it really well this week. There have been a lot of conversations with the players, how they feel and how they feel, and we’ve taken it from there as a group, says Dahl Tomasson.
Is there a team section where more juniors are needed?
– No, he does not do it. But we have “Mubbe” on the bench. He is the only U19 player and we did not come up with more players than usual.
Mubaarak Nuh is an 18-year-old outside midfielder who has yet to make his MFF debut. Three years ago, Nuh became the youngest player to debut in the Superettan and Sweden’s elite series with a showdown for then-club Öster, at just 15 years and 126 days. Nuh may have the opportunity with several MFF players outside of training.
– There are some who have not returned yet, too many! We don’t have a full team yet, says Jon Dahl Tomasson.
