Home security alarms used by the elderly and infirm have been affected by significant delays in Luleå municipality. In some cases, the delay can amount to 24 hours.

– We drive as hard operationally as we can. You can call us around the clock and tomorrow (Friday) we’ll see how it went, Area Manager Anna-Greta Engström tells TT.

According to Engström, the overnight staffing has been increased through Friday for additional supervision. The night patrol is also on extra alert. At the same time, Engström calls on relatives and relatives to contact those with security alarms to make sure they are okay.

The problem affects some 1,600 people, of which about 1,000 have home care. The reason is a technical update at the Örebro alarm center, according to the operator Tunstall.

– Nothing has been said yet when the security alarm is fully operational again, says Engström, who, however, is hopeful that it will soon be fully functional.
