The snowmobile arrives in Sweden today.
The storm has now reached the west coast and is expected to move into the country during the day.
“We have canceled school buses all over Bohuslän,” says Ellen Pileblad, press release at Västtrafik.
Intense low pressure hits Sweden on Monday. SMHI has issued ten warnings. Eight from class 1 and two from class 2.
During the morning, Västra Götaland encountered slipping and snowfall. 16 buses in regular service are parked.
– We have also decided to reduce the traffic on school buses in Bohuslän. Halkan makes up for it and makes us unable to get ahead. Our hope is to resume traffic at nine o’clock, but we will see if it is possible, says Ellen Pileblad, press release at Västtrafik.
Also in Gothenburg, several buses with regular traffic have been put out of service. During the morning rush hour, the police and the rescue service began to receive alarms for various traffic accidents.
– We have had a collision that may have been caused by a slip. A truck and a car also collided. It’s snowing quite hard here, says Fredrik Svedemyr, press spokesman for the Western Police Region.
