A doctor working in a private medical clinic in Gothenburg, suspected of having issued false crown certificates, is notified of his dismissal from his post at Södra Älvsborgs hospital, writes Göteborg-Posten.
– We made an overall assessment and came to the conclusion that this person cannot continue working with us, says operations manager Karin Hederstierna.
The clinic has offered, among other things, PCR tests for the necessary certificates to enter other countries. According to the clinic, the test results have been analyzed by the Sahlgrenska University Hospital and Unilabs, but this is not true according to the laboratories.
According to the hospital, the doctor’s confidence is so damaged that he can no longer work. The Swedish Health and Care Inspectorate (Ivo) has also decided to fine the private clinic on the grounds that the clinic may have endangered patient safety.
Parallel to his work in the clinic, the doctor has worked in the hospital for about a year and a half. During an investigation, it became known that he was also working as a doctor in a private health center in Mölndal without the hospital knowing, writes P4 Sjuhärad.
