Sargon Abraham leaves IFK Gothenburg

Skövdesonen came to Kamratgården in 2018 after succeeding at Superettan alongside Degerfors, where he was the team’s top scorer.

Sargon Abraham, however, never became IFK Gothenburg’s top scorer. There were a total of ten goals during his 82 matches a year in the blue and white jersey before the moving charge now returns to the Värmland forests.

On Tuesday IFK Gothenburg announced that Sargon Abraham will leave the club and is set to be transferred to Degerfors, who will play at the Allsvenskan next season.

– We thank Sargon for his time with us. He has been very loyal and always gave everything for Blåvitt. We wish him luck at Degerfors, says sporting director Pontus Farnerud.

– It’s going to be fun. I have followed Degerfors throughout the year and I think it was well deserved that they made the move to the Allsvenskan. It was at Degerfors where I had my best time as a soccer player and it will be good to go back to Valla, Sargon Abraham tells the Degerfors website.
