Nyamko Sabuni’s Sunday email was purported to be a clarification of her proposed SD line.
But many in the party do not understand the meaning and are confused.
– The text is not clear and is subject to discussion, it is obvious, says EU parliamentarian Karin Karlsbro (L).
On Sunday night, the leader of the liberal party Nyamko Sabuni sent an email to party members with a clarification about her new SD line.
The email was sent just a week before the party voted on the issue, and several people Aftonbladet has been in contact with think it oozes desperation.
-She has obviously underestimated the opposition to this, says a source from L.
As the email reached members’ inboxes, it became clear that another union, liberal women, had opposed Sabuni’s line. On Saturday, however, the greater Skåne district voted in favor.

I do not understand the meaning
Sabuni writes in the email that he does not want to enter into a collaboration similar to the January agreement with SD after the next election. “The budget must be prepared with the bourgeois parties that form the basis of the government and the type of budgetary cooperation that we have today within the cooperation of January is not relevant neither with the Sweden Democrats nor with the Left Party. Instead, with integrity, we will also need to shape economic policy in accordance with the prevailing majorities in parliament. ”
Aftonbladet has been in contact with several in the party who believe it is difficult to understand what Sabuni means.
One of them is EU MP Karin Karlsbro.
– As long as it’s not very clear, I’m not satisfied, she says.

Clarification still needed
What are you missing in your text?
– It is still necessary to clarify that the Liberals will not negotiate a budget with SD. And as long as there are different interpretations of the content, we are not in port.
Karlsbro adds that he thinks it is good that Sabuni has taken up the broad criticism that exists against the party board’s proposal.
Others in the party that Aftonbladet has been in contact with wonder who has decided on the new clarification, and if there is even a new position in the background. The party board has not been asked about the content, according to information from Aftonbladet.
The issue will be decided in a council of the extra-convened party called on Sunday. Stockholm Liberal Jan Jönsson and Member of Parliament Christer Nylander have entered a reservation against the party board’s proposal.
Aftonbladet has contacted Nyamko Sabuni for comment.
