Liberals received 3.4 percent in the latest SVT / Novus opinion poll, a figure that is well below the limit for entering the Riksdag.
At the same time, internal criticism has been leveled at Nyamko Sabuni, who according to various voices in the party is not performing well enough in party leadership debates.
– Listen, I take myself and can’t help but do better next time, says Nyamko Sabuni at SVT Morgonstudion.
“It will be fine”
The low figures in public opinion are not explained by what the party is doing today, but by the messages that the party has historically transmitted, according to her.
– We have not been clear and we have not always answered the questions that voters have asked us, we have focused on what we think ourselves. What worries you is crime, exclusion, unemployment and how welfare should work. Now we begin to give answers.
– We will enter the 2022 elections with as little fear then as now. I am convinced that the liberals will do well in the elections, says Nyamko Sabuni.
“No doormat”
Last week, the social partners failed to agree on a solution in their negotiations.
Therefore, there is a risk of a government crisis as the Left Party, which refuses to accept the research proposals of the government, the Liberals and the Center Party on changes in labor legislation, is threatened by the mistrust, supported by KD, M and SD.
Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S) is thus at a crossroads: Either honor the agreement with L and C – or go to the Left Party to meet. Nyamko Sabuni is clear about what the liberals want.
– I believe that politics should take responsibility for everyone who wants to get a job. It is important that we continue the investigation, says Nyamko Sabuni.
– If someone wants to break the agreement, there is no cooperation. We are partners, no doormat.
