S stops the landslide: now the trend has reversed

After the strong numbers in the spring, the last six months have been tough for Stefan Löfven and the Social Democrats.

In all SVT / Novus opinion polls, the party has reduced its support.

Now that that trend has reversed, the latest voter barometer shows. The party now has 28 percent support.

– Although we can’t see any statistically significant change from last month, we can note that the Social Democrats have reversed a five-month downward trend, says Torbjörn Sjöström, who is CEO of Novus, according to SVT.

Sweden Democrats are declining

At the same time, the crisis of the liberals continues. Nyamko Sabuni’s party is still below the parliamentary barrier, now at 2.7 percent.

The Green Party has just risen to 4.1, after increasing by 0.2 percentage points.

Swedish Democrats are down 0.9 percentage points and have 18.5 percent support. Thus, the moderates consolidate their position as the second largest party in Sweden.

Among opposition parties, only Ebba Busch’s Christian Democrats increase their support: 0.4 percentage points.

Although the Left Party declines by 0.9 percentage points, it is still clearly higher than in the 2018 parliamentary elections when it was 8 percent, compared to 9.7 today.
