Ryan Giggs is suspected of abusing his girlfriend.
The captain of the Wales national team was arrested by the police at his home on Sunday night.
The selection of the squad for the next meeting of national teams has been postponed.

Police were called to Ryan Giggs’ home on the outskirts of Manchester on Sunday night after alarms about the riots, according to the English newspaper The Sun, which was the first to report the incident.
Ryan Giggs was questioned on suspicion of causing bodily harm and abusing his girlfriend Kate Greville.
– The police were called to the scene after the disturbance alarms. One woman had suffered minor injuries but did not need treatment, says a police spokesman.
Interrogated for several hours
Ryan Giggs was arrested and questioned for several hours at the police station and released on bail Monday.
A representative for Ryan Giggs says he denies the allegations and cooperates with police during the ongoing investigation.
Ryan Giggs denies all allegations of abuse against him. He is cooperating with the police and will continue to assist them with their ongoing investigation, his spokesman said.
Ryan Giggs, 46, and Kate Greville have been a couple since 2017, after separating from his wife Stacey.
Postponed press conference
The Wales Football Association announced on Monday that Tuesday’s press conference in which Ryan Giggs would present the next national team was postponed.
On the official website, the union also announces that they were aware of “an alleged incident with Ryan Giggs.”

Wales will meet the United States at home in a training match on Thursday, November 12, followed by the Nations League games at home against Ireland on Sunday, November 15, and against Finland on Wednesday, November 18.
Ryan Giggs has been the captain of Wales since 2018, playing for Manchester United throughout his senior career for 24 years.
As a midfielder for Manchester United, he won 13 Premier League titles, four FA Cup titles and two Champions League titles.
