The sparsely extended choir of the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral, wearing a helmet and protective suit, performed the traditional Christmas concert for the first time since last year’s devastating fire.
But it was a program without an audience and it had been filmed in advance to be broadcast on television just before midnight on Christmas Eve.

Notre-Dame, which dates back to the 13th century and is a popular visit for tourists, began to burn on April 15, 2019. The fire destroyed the spire and roof of the cathedral.
