Both Skellefteå and Rögle are known for offering offensive hockey and when the teams met on Saturday, it was already down a lot in the first period.
NHL loan Moritz Seider gave the visitors the lead after just three minutes with a shot from blue. Four minutes later, Rickard Hugg tied for Skellefteå.
After that, Dennis Everberg ruled 2-1 for Rögle.
Then the strong Jonatan Berggren came into the match and first played Andreas Wingerli to 2-2, and soon after he got involved again, when with a beautiful pass he played Jesper Frödén to 3-2 in powerplay.
It was points 14 and 15 of the 20-year-old forward’s season.

Goals took turns and, four minutes from the end of the first half, Dennis Everberg scored with his second goal of the game.
In the second half, the team blocked their defensive play a bit, but after many chances, in the end the goal would be the first goal for the home team. Once again, Jonathan Berggren was involved when he played until Jesper Frödén’s second goal of the day.
But as in the first period, it wasn’t long before the tie was restored. Hillric Gélinas cheated Jesper Frödén and put 4-4 ahead of Gustaf Lindvall.
The match appeared to be going into extra time, but like against Frölunda on Thursday, Rögle made a late decision. Skellefteå back Petter Granberg was careless with the puck behind his own goal and Anton Bengtsson was able to win the puck and lead Ben Smith to the decision with 1:38 left in the match.
