Summit, and at full speed from the first fall. Both teams had pucks in the goal frame, but it was the home team that eliminated the higher quality opportunities during an accelerated opening period. Anton Bengtsson, Brady Ferguson and Eric Gélinas had excellent opportunities to score on the goal record.
Better pressure from guests during the opening minutes of the second half, but Örebro’s players were forced to shoot from difficult surfaces. The panorama of the game changed a lot to the previous one with Rögle as the leading and dominant team. But halfway through the game, he was still scoreless. Two minutes later, Niklas Hansson gave Rögle the lead with a shot from the backcourt. And before the last break of the period, Anton Bengtsson managed to push in 2-0 after great dominance at home.
The same player increased in advantage, and Olli Palola led the 4-0. It was Rögle’s third consecutive goal in powerplay, three minutes into the final period, and of course the match was over.
With the victory, Rögle tops the SHL table.
