Actor Robert Redford’s son has passed away after a long illness.
He followed in his father’s footsteps as a filmmaker.

The newspaper reports that he died at his home in Marin County, California, after a long battle with cancer, which the family said was discovered in November last year while waiting for a liver transplant.
He suffered a prolonged illness.
Even as a child, James fought for his health. He suffered from an autoimmune disease, which means that the immune system attacks the body’s own cells. In 1993, he underwent several liver transplants.
James Redford was the son of the world famous actor Robert Redford, 84, who is now mourning the death of her son.

James followed in his father’s footsteps as a filmmaker, primarily in documentaries that focused on health and the environment.
His first documentary “The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia” was released in 2012 and is inspired by the son Dylan, who battled dyslexia in high school.

Jamie Redford’s wife Kyle has written in a post on Twitter that she and the couple’s two children are heartbroken.
“He lived a beautiful and powerful life and was loved by many. We will miss him deeply, ”he writes in the post he shared with a collage of family photos.
