“Risk of more on defense with false credentials”

[ad_1]

Listen here:

This spring, DN revealed to a defense official that he lied about his background. Yesterday, DN revealed another case: a chief of the Armed Forces who had a central role, but who arrived giving false credentials.

What have you gained by lying?

– That is a good question. If you listen to the Swedish Armed Forces, it has not been recorded, they say. Formally, these are not qualifications that have been important to the civil services you have requested and received. So you can ask yourself the question, of course: does it not matter formally or informally whether a person applying for a job in the Armed Forces also talks about a long career in the British Armed Forces? The driving forces may not be to get the job. I can only speculate.

What is it that strikes you the most?

– Write about how you participated in secret operations, flew a helicopter with one hand and shot with the other, and how you survived the shooting in Iraq during the Gulf War. The alarming information combined with the fact that no one in the Armed Forces seems to have asked the question about the reasonableness of having an analyst who is at headquarters, but who is a “British Rambo”. It is the experience that should make you unique. The level of what you have stated in combination with the fact that no one has asked questions about it is what I think seems most surprising.

Could there be even more cases?

– I spoke with the security and defense expert Wilhelm Agrell and he told me that there is this that makes it possible for two people – what does he say that there is not a third, a fourth and a fifth? Of course, I don’t know, but the risk is reason enough for the Armed Forces and others to analyze these issues once and twice.
