  • The maximum number of people allowed to sit at the same table in a restaurant is reduced from eight to four people.

  • The maximum number is entered in stores, shopping centers and gyms. If it has no effect, the government will plan to shut down those operations, was Stefan Löfven’s message.

  • The sale of alcohol in restaurants is prohibited after 20:00.

  • All activities carried out by the state, municipalities and regions that are not necessary must be closed immediately. This includes restrooms, sports halls, and museums.

  • As of January 7, oral protection will be recommended in public transport at certain times “when congestion cannot be avoided.” The government will return with details on this.

  • Employers must ensure that all non-essential personnel work from home.

  • Upper secondary school will continue with distance education until January 24. Municipal adults, popular high schools and universities will carry out distance education to the extent possible.

  • Merchants are urged to cancel the noon sale and not attract low prices during noon.
