It has not been established that the remains are of the missing man, but the police have informed the 57-year-old’s relatives. Now a forensic examination will be conducted to identify the person.

– It is a breakthrough in the investigation, that we have found a person that we can suspect is this person, says Robert Loeffel.

According to the Police, it is information that has emerged in the investigation that led to the area of ​​the discovery. The archipelago area around the find is now cordoned off and the dive will take place next week.

Missing since July – two arrested for murder

The 57-year-old man disappeared on July 25 this year, and since then, the police, the coast guard and the missing have carried out extensive search operations in and around Karlskrona, with a particular focus on the archipelago.

The disappearance was initially investigated as an alleged kidnapping, but in August the title was changed to murder.

Two men in their 20s, with ties to the missing person, are suspects in the murder and have been in custody for nearly three months. Men have always denied criminal suspicions.
